Why do I have to complete this form?
By a corresponding regulation of the Federal Minister for Science and Research (see Legal Basis), graduates are required to complete an online survey about study-related stays abroad. A confirmation that the form has been completed is required for the issuance of graduation documents.
The data on study-related stays abroad by graduates of post-secondary educational institutions are included in the federal statistics on education by Statistics Austria.

Yes, you will receive a confirmation via email. Please keep it safe. You may need to present it to your university or university colleges of teacher education if required.

Who is obliged to give information?
Students of public universities, private universities and university colleges, universities of applied sciences and university colleges of teacher education have to fill in the survey form UHSTAT2 on the occasion of completion of a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diploma or Doctoral studies or university courses or any course for which a Master’s degree is awarded.
However, the form on this website is only for students of public universities, private universities and university colleges and university colleges of teacher education, because in the area of universities of applied sciences data on study-related stays abroad (UHSTAT2) are collected by the universities of applied sciences themselves (section 16 of the UHSBV).
How often is UHSTAT2 to be completed?
Once per degree. If you have several degrees, you must complete a UHSTAT2 form for every completed degree.
What is to be entered in the question educational institution?
Please enter here the university or university college of teacher education by which you were admitted for the respective study.
Will your UHSTAT2 data be shared?
Yes. According to section 26 subsection 4 of the UHSBV the universities and university colleges have to be granted access to their students’ UHSTAT2 data.
What is the month of graduation?
The month of graduation corresponds to the date of your final examination performance. It does not necessarily have to coincide with the month of your submission.
